Yasmine
Who is Yasmine?
As the first Filipino Street Fighter, Yasmine zips onto the scene with blindingly high speed and relentless close quarters mixups. Boasting a lightning fast drive rush, good walk speed, a plethora of forward advancing normals and body projectile specials, a boomerang projectile that creates setups, and a wide variety of way to generate safe combo enders, Yasmine is a dizzyingly aggressive close quarters fighter.
And mixups you will have to enact, because her damage is some of the worst in the game. Many of Yasmine's normals and target combos have scaling, and her bread-and-butter routing go into specials that add even more. Her Demon Raid leap and boomerang are useful tools, but in addition to being slow and vulnerable (especially compared to the wide cast of shotos) they aggressively scale when starting combos too. She suffers from weak medium ranges and awkward conversions, forcing her back into her forward-advancing moves, which in a kit as straightforward as hers can feel limiting and constrained.
Don't let that scare you though -- Yasmine is an easy to pick up character who can stick her opponent in a blender of terrifying aggression. If you want to rep the Philippines with pride, take her for a spin and see how holding a karambit feels.
